  walk down Holmes and Manning Streets almost everyday. This morning I notice that most of the young silver maple trees in the parkways appear to be dying. The leaves are curling up and browning at a rapid pace. I didn't notice this last week. What's going on? Is there a disease or were they treated for something inappropriately? I live one street over and hope it is not a serious contagious disease as I have two large ones of my own. One of the dying trees still has a Deerpath Nursery tag on it. Any clues?
